FAQ

What is Metrics & Matter?

Metrics & Matter is a creative design and custom project studio offering digital design, blueprint-style layouts, 3D renderings, estimation support, custom fabrication, personalized goods, and curated project finds.

Do you make custom items?

Yes. Custom work can include stickers, cards, signs, gifts, 3D prints, Cricut projects, laser-engraved pieces, labels, mockups, and other creative builds.

How do custom orders work?

Send the idea first, then Metrics & Matter reviews the details, confirms the best design or production path, and provides a quote. Once the direction and pricing are approved, the project can move into design, production, or final delivery.

How do I start a custom project?

Use the Start a Project page and include the project type, deadline, quantity, size, colors, wording, personalization details, budget range, and any photos, logos, sketches, or files you already have.

Are quote request listings free products?

No. Quote request listings are used to start the conversation and gather project details. Final pricing is provided after the request is reviewed.

Do you offer design-only services?

Yes. Digital design files, print-ready layouts, branded graphics, mockups, and project visuals can be created without physical production.

Can you help with renderings or estimate support?

Yes. Metrics & Matter can help organize project visuals, layout ideas, blueprint-style concepts, material breakdowns, and estimate support. Final construction, permitting, engineering, or code decisions should be confirmed with the appropriate licensed professional when required.

Are Shop the Lab items custom?

Not always. Shop the Lab may include curated tools, project materials, workspace goods, specialty finds, and resale items. Custom work is handled separately through Start a Project.

How long does custom work take?

Turnaround depends on the project type, quantity, materials, design time, and current workload. Rush needs should be included in your request so timing can be reviewed up front.

Can I send inspiration pictures?

Yes. Inspiration photos, sketches, logos, screenshots, measurements, colors, and examples are helpful. Final designs will be created to fit your project, brand, and production needs.
